Plot
Four children make a mysterious discovery on their home planet, which causes them to get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy. Jude Law in “The Skeleton Team” and other stars from a galaxy far, far away. The holographic circus that entertains Neal’s little siblings is the same one that Chewbacca’s family sees in the infamous Star Wars Holiday Edition (1978).

Like most 80s kids, I have fond memories of Goofs, but I’d be lying if I said I’d really like to see new Star Wars content in that vein. I mean, after the disappointment of the sequel trilogy and many others (I would rate all Disney feature films except Andorra, Rogue One, and the first two seasons of Mando as mediocre to bad), I I just want something good, mature. Give me an Andorian show set in the Old Republic, with Jedi, Sith, and Nick Gillard as stunt coordinator for world sword fights.

BUT… honestly, I have to say that Skeleton Crew is okay. It is not offensive and poorly made, not frankly cheap, like “The Book of Boba Fett”, not disembodied like the third season of “Mando”, not defying lore like the sequels and “Kenobi”, not as insensitive as “Acolyte”. Cheers?

The script is still decent (as of the 2nd series): the effects, costumes and locations look great: there is a certain charm to it all. I suspect that, as in the case of Andor, this is a passion project of its creators and is considered a small one. a side project of the bosses, which therefore did not bother to take part in it, which is a blessing for Lucasfilm these days.
