Remake of The Bureau of Legends (2015)
I have to say, I was lucky enough to re-watch The Bureau a couple of years ago and honestly, it’s probably one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Up to this point, nothing has even remotely been similar. There is a correlation between the two series, of course it’s been said that it was “influenced” by the other, but to be honest, I wasn’t expecting a similar plot.
You won’t regret it
Don’t get me wrong, the series up to this point is great, great cast, good photography, but it wasn’t anything I hadn’t already seen in the French version. It’s too early to tell how it will end, but I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t seen The Bureau to watch it. After Fassbender played a professional killer in David Fincher’s The Killer, and I saw that he was in the cast, I immediately knew he was a great choice for the role.
It’s not something you would watch while riding your bike on an indoor trainer
Those kinds of shows actually require you to be focused while watching them, so you can keep up with all the characters in the plot and the little details about them. Some would even consider them slow, maybe even boring, but exactly those characteristics and those complicated personal battles that the characters have, plus the slow buildup of tension, are what make them great in my opinion. You either like those kinds of shows or you don’t like them at all, there is no in between.
